Question about services

Hey guys, I just recently purchased the GS2 epic 4g touch on the Sprint network and now i'm musing Verizon. I want to know if it's worth it to stay with Sprint or go with Verizon. I know Sprint is going to be rolling out it's LTE network soon but I want some opinions on this matter. I'm within my 30 day guarantee so i'm not locked in yet but I would like to get some input. Thanks

Assuming you are not happy with the service you are currently getting from Sprint some things to consider would be:

The Epic 4G touch has a Wimax radio so when sprint goes to LTE it won't matter unless you upgrade.
VZW has no unlimted plan anymore so you will be tied to a tiered plan (if that is okay with you then it isn't a problem) Sprint still has unlimted
VZW has a some great LTE phones currently and 2 more that should be released soon, but the specs on the SGS2 are still going to be higher than anything on VZW that has been announced or released.
Do you currently have 4G in your area from both or either carrier? LTE is faster than Wimax and looks to be the future of 4G since all the carrers are going towards it.

Have you talked to anyone in your area that has a VZW phone to see how the service is like for them. Where I work I think VZW gets better reception than Sprint. At my house it isn't the case, however I have WiFi at home so I don't need to get 4G there.

if you are ok with the price at verizon.. and have used them before.. and that is what you want...

better do it quick!

Well I keep hearing about Sprints spotty service while i've heard nothing but good responses towards Verizons service. I'm a heavy internet user so this is a huge factor. Anyone else

what is heavy?? 4GB or 14GB?
how much can you spend per month on service?
what is the speed of data of sprint in your area.. is it below usable?

Well i'd probably purchase their 20gb package. Again, if the performance is solid, i'll pick it up. I'm trying to watch a video on youtube and it keeps buffering every 30 seconds. Very slow

do you have friends on verizon in your area?
can you test LTE and 3G speeds on their phone?
if it is more usable.. and if you are ok with the price...then jump.

amazon has smartphones for one penny!!!!!!

Yeah that's where I got my current phone and even though the phone is fantastic, what good is it if I can't access the web with decent speeds?

I would go to verizon in a heartbeat, if i wasn't locked in with sprint. Use to have verizon could never complain with their service its the bomb

Great! I think i'm going to transfer over. I just wish I could take my SII epic 4g touch with me. Are there any other devices on verizon with similar or more power?

Opposite experience here. My company had 3G for laptops for years through VZ and we all hated it. Wouldn't grandfather plans, bad CS, slow data, uneven coverage, very expensive - just sucked.

Never want to ever deal with VZ again. Not worth the premium prices they charge.
