Root Question about upgrading to stock GB OTA

I'm rooted with S-off and a, running skyraider. If I load up a NAND backup of 2.2(with root) with the OTA upgrade go through? Or do I have to unroot for that to happen?

I believe you would have to use the 2.2 RUU to be able to get any future OTA. However, don't do that. Stay rooted, and install the software as a ROM. You can get the most recent OTA release as roms anywhere from stock, stock+fixes for the issues, to a heavily customized UI. Even if you stay with the stock (which for all intents and purposes is the exact same at the official OTA), it's easier, quicker, more painless (you can use TI and all the other root utilities), you keep root, and if you decide you don't like it you can change ROMs at the drop of a hat.

Also the "stock" OTA has some issues that are fixed in the patched OTA ROMS.

Also #2 the OTA is currently not being pushed do to the above issues and no one is sure when or even if it will resume...

What about Radios? I don't know if this is my issue, but lately I've been having an issue where when I go to dial someone all I get is pure static.
