Question about VideoCam Illusion

I downloaded and shot some video with this app, and it is currently stored on the SD card in a folder. But when I click on the .mov file it says it cant open it, no application can perform that action...so my question is, how to you upload this to your PC, to put on youtube, etc.

Thanx

I am using Samsung Intercept

You shot a .mov file on an Android phone?

Opening a file is not the same as moving it. You could move that file with Bluetooth to your PC. Try the free 'Bluetooth File Transfer' app from the market.
But you will also need the Quicktime for PC application installed on your PC to be able to play it there.

I used that app, and it never saved as a .mov file. Did you click on a different file by mistake?

Yeah, it is a .mov file. In fact, I just found out one way I can upload it..by sending it to an e-mail address. Actually, that appears to be the only way. Earlier today, I couldnt figure out how to share it, but the list came up this time. Thanx!

Yeah, it is a .mov file.
Sorry, but Android phones cannot create .mov files. That is an Apple Quicktime format.
Well, tried to "share" it by e-mailing it to myself, and the e-mails never showed up. :( Hmmm...
In any case your email account will most probably refuse to receive mails + attachments that exceed 15MB.
Did you even try 'Bluetooth File Transfer'?
Or 'WiFi File Explorer PRO' ($0,99)?

WEll I just had another look and it does indeed create .mov files. Can only open them in. if app. CAnnot be viewed on native player.

I just tried to copy a 3.2MB .mov file from a Mac on OSX.6.5 (tethered) to an Android (2.2.1) phone. The Android phone does of course not accept them. It does accept normal JPGs, as expected. I.o.w. there's nothing wrong with the connection or the copying process.

Sorry, your 'prob' as per above cannot be reproduced. Whence it must be bogus, or you did not explain clearly what it is.

If you download the app and shoot a video you will see that it is a .mov file. It will only open in the app itself.

What is going on is this:

1. I shot a .mov file wih the VideoCam Illusion app.

2. The .mov file is saved in the "MyFiles" file on my celphone.

3. I can tap on the .mov file and one of the options is "SHARE"

4. The only share option is to e-mail the file. Which is fine. I e-mail it out, using my gmail address (which is preset because it's a Google phone)

5. The .mov file never reaches my e-mail. I've tried to e-mail it to three different addresses, and I've never gotten it.

The videocamera app that comes installed on the phone itself has a share option that allows you to transfer a movie right up to youtube. Videocam Illusion, as far as I can tell, only allows you to send it attached to an e-mail. This is fine, but not if I never get it!

Thanx
