Root [Question] Ad Blocking issues?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had problems with ad blocking applications not working? This is the first phone I have had this problem on. Is this problem just with my device and if it is does anybody know how I can fix it?

P.S. I have tried the following applications with out success:

- Ad Away
- Ad Blocker or whatever its called... hehe
- Root Tools
- Rom Toolbox Pro
- Probably some other ones I can't think of right now too..

AdFree seems to be working for me..
What Apps are you still seeing ads on after installing an ad blocker?

I can't get rid of the ads in "Drag Racing" or Angry Birds RIO. There could be others but these are the only two that I can think of off the top of my head. Would you be willing to try and download the Drag Racing one and see if you have the same problem? And maybe send me a screen shot of how you have your AdFree configured?


*EDIT* I tried using adfree again and I have checked all possible options in hopes that ads would be blocked now but they are still F**King THERE ! AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry, didnt see your post when I replied to your message. Let me install AB RIO and see what happens..

OK, downloaded Drag Racing free version instead, it takes up less space. Ran 4 races, upgraded tires, etc, never saw an ad..

As for AdFree configuration, I didnt change anything, I didnt change the Host file location, etc..

This app works best on our phone, it gives constant updates that usually I need to update the host every other day. It is truly fantastic, if you have any issues with it I'd be willing to help . As for Ad-free I can't say much because I have only used once and didn't really enjoy it.
