question can i root my LG M even if is 2.2?

1 month ago i updated my phone LG m too 2.2 from 2.1 can it still be rooted?

cause i want too overclock it too run gameboy advance emulators :( ?

some reason some games freeze the screen or shuts down the program
 
You're going to need to downgrade to 2.1 with LGNPST in order to root. Once you are back to 2.1 then you can root with Gingerbreak.
 
He would need to know in order to properly downgrade was my point. Its not the easiest process and he should probably go into it with the right information. Sorry if you took offense to that, but I'll do my best to properly inform those looking for help.

No offense taken pm, by his post it seemed clear to me that he updated to 2.2.2 and wanted to know if he needed to downgrade to 2.2.1 I try and put people here on the right track myself and it's good to know that I'm not alone in trying to do so.

Now that you have downloaded everything you can start with the installation of LGNPST shop and laboratory. The installers are at the root of the file you downloaded LGNPST above.After that it has completed the installation, install all components and GenericModels.
LGNPST_CT.exe Copy the installation directory (default is C: \ LG Electronics \ LGNPST)
After installing storage and laboratory, as well as GenericModels and components, install the drivers if not already done so.
After you run the Right_Click_Register_DLL.reg want so you can register some DLLs if needed.
In the Device folder is a file MS690.dll DDL. Copy that LGNPST Diectory / models (eg C: \ LG Electronics \ LGNPST \ Designs). Once copied, right click the DLL file and select Register.
Now extracting archive TOT restoration LGMS690 anywhere you want, just remember where. Desktop is a good place.
Once installed, the above is likely to restart the computer. Once you restart the computer allows LGNPST open. Once loaded, the Optimus M connect to your computer.
LGNPST that will see your phone listed, read the model MS690 and connected.
On the Layout tab, which UPGRADE is selected. Where is bin, click the folder icon to locate your PC for the TOT file you removed before opening LGNPST. In the Name field, type *.* and press enter. TOT file will be displayed. Select it and click Open. Now just press start and will restore the device to 2.2 Froyo.

You said your game closes out? Which emulator are you using? I use gameboid on my stock optimus m and it never freezes. Try to get gameboid and test out some roms. I wouldnt dare try the other crap emulators in the market

i got the gameboid from 4shared i think it was version 2.4 or something

golden sun after a while playing either reset or freeze screen some other games run perfect

You don't need to use 4shared. You can go to SlideMe and get most of them for free (I think the N64oid is the only one he is still charging for atm.) This is where yongzh put his emulators when google went and removed them from the market.

Your not the only one havin problems with golden sun. I heard that game dosent work for most people. But my gameboid is 2.4.7 and i got it from 4shared

so far i notice putting some twiks helps run a bit smoother

like skip frame rate too 0 help a lot

Yea i keep mines at zero. Possibly the only games that run a tad slow on this phone are 3D racers like need for speed. Probably the emulator cause every other game i tried runs at full speed
