Question for Otter Box Users

I was wondering if the screen protector on the otter box commuter series, effected the general visual of the screen brilliance, for example, the brightness, resolution, etc. ? thanks alot, reade.

The screen protector is alright. I have sold a ton of Otterbox cases for the Mesmerize. Be careful though as it is not the "best" quality (compared to the Zagg screen protector which I love).

I would say on average, 1 out of 5 Otterbox screen protectors do not actually stick to the screen. The problem is how they ship the screen protector. The screen protector is to long for how they package it, so it tends to curl (seeing as it is held in a curling form when it is shipped).

If it stays down, it does look really nice. Doesn't effect anything in terms of your screen quality. If you want the BEST screen protector, with life long guarantee, go with the Zagg.

Don't get me wrong, I have Otterbox case's on my Tab, Mesmerize, and Blackberry Bold - Love the cases. Just a warning that you may be sending it back because of the screen protector. Best combo, Otterbox case with Zagg screen protector.

I have the Otter Box Defender case which includes a screen protector built into the hard shell piece of the case assembly. I can say it's pretty good with resolution and you'll get use to it if anything should you decide to go Defender. Only thing I have noticed is that the menu buttons on the bottom take a little more effort to push since the bottom of the screen protector attaches at the bottom of the hard case. Swype seems to be fine with the protector too.

Overall, the Defender case is a solid, well built case. It makes your phone much larger than it actually is (the case is 3 pieces) but I love it.

Yes I should clarify, I was talking about the Otterbox Commuter case. I have the Defender case on my Galaxy Tab, and that thing is bullet proof... well not really, but you get the point!

thanks alot guys, i love the commuter case because i think it just looks alot better than the defender series, and retains the slimness of the phone, i know the defender offers more protection, but i'm not real hard on my phones so i think it will be alright, as far as the screen protector goes, i think i'm going to just leave it off, i was reading yesterday about the mesmerize using the gorilla glass on the screen, which is supposed to be really scratch and break resistant, so i think it is all good. thanks again for your responses. reade.

I tried the screen protector that came with my commuter case. I didn't like to shiny.I Bought a Steinhell anti-glare and anti fingerprint. They are super. I carry my phone in my pocket with my car keys and there is not a mark on my screen.
SGP iPod Touch 4G Screen Protector Steinheil Ultra Series - iPod Touch 4G - Apple - MP3 I get no kick backs just passing on a good product.

well uscellularandroid, the way i see it is that the screen protector is not going to protect the screen from breakage, only scratches, and i'm really careful with my stuff, so i'll take the risk, i really hate all types of screen protectors, at least the ones i've seen so far. i may try the one that rich suggested, see how that one looks.
