Question for those that have unrooted back to 2.3.4

I have never rooted my phone. It came with 2.3.4 and I updated to 2.3.6 and now experience that horrible battery drain/wifi issue.
I want to Unroot my phone back to 2.3.4 but I've read some people have had wifi issues after doing so. They can't seem to get their wifi connection to stick after doing this.

Any recommendations on proceeding with unrooting or not? I need wifi to work correctly. If anyone experienced wifi not working after unrooting, did you ever get it working?

From your first sentence, it appears that you are NOT rooted. Therefore, you can not UN-root.

Once on 2.3.6 via OTA, I don't know of a way back to 2.3.4 without being rooted.

I went back via the installation of a ROM based on 2.3.4, but had to be rooted to do so.

I updated to 2.3.6 and then tried to root. After much research found that you must go back to 2.3.4 to be able to root with Superoneclick. To do this go to the following link and follow the instructions there. It comes with video and everything you need to know.

Essentially you are reinstalling 2.3.4 and you lose no data in the process. Do back up anyway.

After using this method, you are back to 2.3.4 and now use Superoneclick and it works perfectly. By the way from everything Ive read about 2.3.6 you really don't want to go back to it.

This whole process takes no more than 10 minutes.
