Question for those using XBox contoller...

I finally got the micro adapter to use my wired Xbox controller on my Nexus 7 and also on my S3. Works great for N64 roms and games like Dead trigger, but the trigger buttons on the controller seem to not be programable. Can these buttons not be used?
