question on refurbished

I'm looking at buying a galaxy 10.1 wifi only here soon, but im going back and forth about whether or not I want the GB or GB. Once I figure out how to put music and video on im sure that I will be mad if I go with the 16 GB because I will most likely run out of room so that puts me in the situation of wanting the 32gb. However the 32gb is expensive, and that is outrageous seeing as that's the same price as a laptop. I did find refurbished ones for 540 ish. So guess my question is, is it worth buying the refurbished or should I just hold out for a while.

Thanks,
Andrew

Refurbished ones are usually just as good as new and still have the factory warranty... If you are already pretty sure the 16GB will be to small then don't get it.... If you do, you will never be happy with it...

As far as putting music / movies / media on it, its pretty simple via Kies or you can drag and drop as well if you wanted...

I've purchased lots of refurbished electronic products, including several computers and 2 phones (including a Straight Talk phone this month for my adult daughter). I've never had a problem with my refurbished products. Often these products are new, but have been returned for various reasons. Some have been refurbished by manufacturer authorized vendors. In fact, refurbished electronic products have been checked out better than most new items. Any defective parts have been replaced with new parts, software has been checked and reinstalled, if necessary. Often, there is nothing wrong with a returned item for refurbishing, customer just did not like it or changed their mind.

I've saved a lot of money buying refurbished. Just be sure to check the warranty. Some refurbished items have a shorter warranty period; others don't. If an extended warranty is available, you may feel more secure buying it. However, I never have.

For me, I've found that an electronic item can never have too fast a processor nor too much RAM. I'd choose the 32 GB. But, I'm kind of a power junkie. I even drive a powerful muscle car, Pontiac Firebird!!!

Good luck with your decision.

Definitely go for the 32GB. It sounds like you'll be kicking yourself down the road if you don't. You can do better than $540 refurbished though. I just bought one NEW for $500... and they still have some left.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GB, Wi-Fi, 10.1in - White GTP7510UWVB (635753493566) | eBay

Just noticed these are white... I got a silver one. It's the same seller and same price though.

i bought a refurbished one from amazon. its a galaxy tab 10.1, 16 GB, wifi for $384. it came from the factory as refurbished and it took me a long time to find anything indicating it was refurbished. there is a tiny (and i mean tiny) little nick on the metal right near the data port.

i would say go for it if it is from a reputable source.

i have my phone for music and such so and i usually dont ever come close to filling up my space.

Got my 16GB for $320 when WOOT had them on sale. I have the Archos 101 and when it comes to using, the GTab simply cleans the floor with the Archos.
I have had the Archos for going on a year now, and the GTab has me excited to fire up the tablet again. -Lucky for use the 101 serves as a great video player for the 18mo on car rides...and it does have it's nice features like the microSD, and easy connectability.
However, the GT that I got was a refurb item, and you simply CANNOT tell. It is for all intents and purposes, better than or equal to new. I say better than simply because these things are gone over with a fine tooth comb compared with new.
SUPER stoked that I got this...and to think that I was debating holding out for the Prime. I could have had TWO of these for the same price as the new Prime! -Of course, the prime is still on the list of "would like to have" items. But now with this GT, I may be able to hold off for a year or more, and buy an i7 laptop instead!

After I ordered my refurbished 32GB from Best Buy for $479 plus tax with free shipping which totalled $507 I saw it on tigerdirect.com for $449 no tax and free shipping. That is the best price I found.

If I didn't tell you my tab was refurbished you would never know it. It is in perfect condition and I feel good about saving some cash. I will shop refurbished from now on.

bit late to the party enthuse thread but just wanted to say I have just recieved a refurbished tab from Amazon and am very impressed, not a mark scratch or anything to indicate that it has been refurbished, have also bought phones ect before with no problems Q
