Help Question on the garminfone t-mobile a50

I picked up a garminfone to quick before i ended up canceling sup and went with the htc evo 4g i still got the garminfone my girlfriend is a t-mobile customer would like to give it to her is there a certain procedure i tryed switching the sims any suggestions?

Hand her the phone...
once she has a data plan she will be able to use it just fine. Until then connect to wifi and sign her up
