Help Question specific to S4 Tumblr users

I notice that when scrolling through pics on Tumblr that the images were quite blurry compared to my iphone 5. This had me worried but then I noticed once click on pics in the feed to enlarge them, they buffer a few seconds and are crystal clear. Any idea why this would be?

The Android Tumblr app needs some serious optimizing, even GIFs aren't done correctly. I use Tumblr on both my GS4 and iPad4 and it works far better on the iPad.
