if i get one of these new SPs, (Eris, droid, etc) can i get a secondary phone, like my old razor or something, turned on, with the same info programmed in, and have it ring and everything when the primary phone does? I ask because im not intersted in payin 600+ for a phone and then destroying it...which i do alot. id like to leave my badboy in my truck or on my toolbox at work, and be able to carry around my smaller secondary phone, and use the smartphoen when i need it.

i know when i upgraded to my dare, when my old phone was on, it would still get calls and text etc. anyone know for sure?

No you can't. Not legally any way (GSM it's possible to copy the gsm card but it's prohibited).

If you really want to, use google voice, which can ring multiple phones, and you can keep your contacts within google voice.

For me I carry multiple cellphones already (blackberry for work, android for personal) so this would be a hassle. I have insurance on my smartphone so I'm not worried about it breaking.

in order to ring multiple phones though, you need the second phone to have a dedicated number right? im not looking for another contract, just a way not have to carry something so Huge all the time lol.

If you use GSM you can simply swap out the GSM card to another phone.

yeah i dont think VZW does gsm...im just gonna leave them both on and see what happens. if i go turn my old phone on right now, it will start getting text, and will ring if i call it (both do) im hoping it works the same way with the smart phone.
