Root Question

Flash the latest gapps file. You can find it linked in some of the other ROM threads on XDA (I believe CELB has it). Make sure you flash the MDPI version. There are also .apk's out there on XDA that you could try.

There was a new one just released - 2.2.11 - but I don't have a download link for it.

Interestingly enough, within minutes of flashing both xtrSENSE and xtrROM in the last few weeks, my market was automatically updated to the latest one for 2.1 (which looks like the latest for 2.2), but running I still have the old market on CELB weeks after the new one was out.

hmmm... my droid 1 still has 2.2.7. does the phone need to be active for it to update? i turned it on and it updated a bunch of apps thru wifi.

i checked for system updates and it dint find any,but maybe it wouldnt without being active :confused:
 
The market is supposed to update on its own, but, like I said, it never did for me on CELB - I still have the old market there.

Patience, I think, is in order.
