Root Question

I just flashed my D2 with the FULL 2.3.20 using RSDLITE4.8

Everything went fine and it said it Passed....

When my phone rebooted nothing was changed except I had lost Root. Why didn't it return my phone back to factory?

The SBF flashes all the factory software. It doesn't alter any user settings or data that's been added to the phone. To do that, you do a factory data reset.
