If i got malware or a virus on the HTC One x and do a factory reset in the options, will that remove the malware or virus, like, format my phone;

It will yes, but virus' or malware aren't as common on Android as tech sites etc like to point out. Are you concerned you've picked something up?

If you do hard reset/factory reset, then yes, it will be gone if you have"catch" something. You are going end up like you just took your phone out of the box, when you bought. But hey!! Why don't you get yourself LOOKOUT? It's free on the Market, and it will do its job. Just keep it on your phone, and you are safe..........
