Questionabout S voice

I have used android in the past but switched over to iphone a few years back. iOS isn't bad but I miss the ability to customize my phone and the features of the iPhone 5 haven't impressed me so I am going to come back to android. I have it narrowed down to the Galaxy S3 and the HTC one X. I prefer the look and form factor of the One X but have heard that the battery life on the S3 is a lot better. My main question however is about S Voice. I have heard it is a bit "Rough around the edges". Does anyone know if Samsung has said if they are going to devote and real amount of resources to improving the functionality or is not really a priority for them?

As soon as you will get the Jelly Bean update (any day now) the S3 will run Google Now, which is basically S-Voice on steroids. I assume it will make S-Voice redundant so I figure development for that will die off slowly. I've played with Google Now for a couple of days and it blows Siri out of the water on pretty much every level.

I was just doing some research on Google Now and while it looks promising it lacks one of the main features that makes me want voice control - The ability to set calendar events and reminders. Well, at least from what I read it doesn't do it...

It actually does. And when the appointment is there it will automatically tell you how the traffic is on the way to your appointment (assuming you've set the location), it will give you an alternative route is there's a jam and it will say if you need an umbrella for your walk from the parking spot to the front door.

In the meantime Siri will still make that same joke when you ask her what the best phone on the market is today...
