Questions about 3g mobile hotspot and tethering

Lurker
So I'm going on away soon and will be staying in a vacation house for about 6 days with no internet access. I'm considering shelling out the $20 to activate the mobile hotspot on my Fascinate for the occasion (aka just put it on for a month, then take it off my plan) but I have a few questions first:

How far will the two gigs actually go? Obviously I won't be streaming videos and such while on it--just visit my usual sites (blogs, tumblr, livejournal, facebook + check email). Even if I use it heavily, can I make it the six days without going over my 2gb cap?

And with tethering, I know it goes against ToS if I don't shell out the $20, but if one does pay the $20, and then goes to tether will I get "more bang for my buck" If I tether my phone via usb than if I hook it up wirelessly? I'm just confused on this matter based on the information I've read thus far. And for the record I have an unlimited data plan.

For a 30 day month it would work out to about 68MB a day. You should be fine for lite use. It depends what your definition of heavy would be, your probably looking at about 3 hours of video encoded at 1500kbps. (rough guess)
