Hello,

I am new here and I have loads of questions but I'll be as brief as possible.

I have SGS3 i9300, the international version. I am currently on 4.1.2 stock, rooted.

Ok, I don't have much experience in android customizing and such, so, I want to install some apps from Xperia feat. Hatsune Miku on my phone, the thread for that can be found Here. My questions are :

1.What resolution of bootanimation does Galaxy s3 use?

2.How will I install this Flashable Miku Framework.zip?

3.How will I install the bootanimation, is it enough to copy and replace the original bootanimation file or do I need flash it through Odin/CWM or whatsoever?

4.I used Framaroot for rooting my phone and have also installed CWM using this guide, but doesn't seem to work because when I tried to enter CWM, all I see is Downloading, Do not turn off target and I cannot do anything there.

Although I said loads of it, this should be enough for now, I started from rooting just to install these things, I have googled a lot but I couldn't find a satisfying solution, thanks for reading and please consider answering my questions in a noobish possible way.

ps: sorry for my bad english :p

Welcome to the forum
I havent heard of that framework but the big thing now is Xposed Framework and i totally recommend it.
Some boot animations come as flashable zips and others have to be done manually using a file explorer but the Root Toolbox app is an easy way to start. I has a lot of boot anim's and does the job for you but always have a nandroid backup (made in recovery) before doing anything like that.
I think youre pressing the wrong buttons. For recovery its Power, Home and volume UP
Let me know if you have any other questions and check out the international galaxy s3 (gt-i9300) all things root forum at bottom of this page :)

Wow, thanks for the fast replay and warm welcome.

I wonder if the Xposed framework.apk and Miku Framework.zip are doing a similar job. Because.....
miku apps

install as normal apps(flash miku framework first...)
Seeing this, the Miku Framework.zip is necessary for installing those applications which are restricted to Sony Xperia feat. Hatsune Miku only, because without it, installations of those apps failed.

I thought it was volume down, my bad and thanks ;)

No problem man. Go into recovery now and make a backup then youre safe to try flashing that framework. If anything goes wrong, just restore the backup

Oh yeah, to flash a zip, download the zip, boot into CWM, choose "install zip", "install zip from sdcard", scroll down to "download", select the zip, select yes

Thanks, but when I pressed Home+volume up+power, it takes me to Android system recovery<3e> and not Clockwork Mod? I wonder if I did something wrong, the process was so simple and I even tried it again, still Android system recovery.

Sorry for the late reply, yes, I followed the steps from your link and after going through lots of problems, I installed CWM ( I am glad that I didn't brick my phone on the way, since there were some risk attempts XD )

And finally I managed to install all the apps and others that I wanted to install, I couldn't find "Mount R/w" button in ES Explorer and stucked there for hours L :) L. Changing file permission was also hard to figure it out. Trial and error saves my day and thanks to you for helping me when I already thought of quitting it :D

Btw, just see the changes it made to my phone though I don't think you want to see it badly, I'm showing you anyway :p
