Questions about honeycomb

Hey I know this is probally not in the right place but I was just at tmo checking out my options because I am getting tired of waiting for the GB update for the G2X. So I am looking at the LG slate I would not mind that but I am also looking at the Acer Icona anyway The dude at the tmo store told me not to get the slate because it has Honeycomb and there are not alot of apps for it and it hasnt caught on yet. Is this true is it really that bad or can I deal with it. I trust you guys opinions because I am in this forum all the time. so what do you guys think?

I'd try the Motorola XOOM. They have it.

And I just realized, the question was about Honeycomb, not Gingerbread...sorry.
