Questions about upgrading to class 6 microSD...

I just got the wifey a Droid 2 the other day. I pulled the microSD card today and noticed it is only a class 2.

A couple of questions:

Would there be any benefit at all if I got her a class 6? Some of her apps are installed on the SD. I made a BIG difference on my LG Ally.

Secondly, is it just as simple as popping the old class 2 into a card reader, making a temp folder on my computer desktop, then popping the class 6 in the reader and pasting?

First of all, there is no reason to install apps on the SD card on the D2. There is 8gb of internal storage that you will probably never fill up.

It would probably depend on the app if there is a performance difference or not. A game, you might notice something where as a note taking app probably wont be all that different.

If you decide to do it, the steps you outline above would work.

OK. I moved the apps to the internal storage. Sooooo much better now. Not sure why they installed themselves on the SD in the first place. Thanks.

Also, this is actually the Wife's phone. I have an Ally myself and the apps pretty much MUST go on the SD because the internal storage on the Ally is tiny.
