Help Questions about Xperia Z1

Hi,

I've just got my Xperia Z1 and I'm hoping someone can assist me with a few questions I have about it:

1) I cannot seem to change my I.C.E number. What ever i set it to it always defaults to another number. I have transferred my old number to this phone when I bought it so i'm assuming the number which it defaults to is the original number but since I have this feature, I ought to use it.

2) I have the option to add existing contacts to the I.C.E number but it only recognises one contact out of the address book. I added this contact when I got the phone and the rest of the contacts are synced with my google account and it is these which do not show when I try to add an existing contact. As far as I can see, the manually added contact is also synced to google so there should be no differences between any of the contacts (apart from the obvious!!). Does anyone know why this is?

3) Is there an option to add SMS preview to the lock screen? I cannot seem to find a widget for this.

Hi cosmarchy, I can't recreate the problem on my handset, so not sure about your ICE contacts, sorry.

Can you see all other entries in your contacts list when you open the dialer app? It's not been inadvertently set to hide certain groups of contacts has it?

Re the SMS preview on the lock screen, Dashclock might have the SMS facility. Alternatively, look at another messaging app like Evolve or Sliding Messaging. You should be able to add widgets for either of those to the lock screen.

Finally if that doesn't work, I use a lock screen replacement app called Slidelock which allows me to add message previews to the lock screen.
