Hi again everyone, another follow-up to my initial post, here below are just my questions about the built-in Calendar application:
- My old Nokia N85 phone not only sounded the alarm when a calendar event was due, but also woke up the screen, which displayed the message of the reminder. The Samsung S2 only sounds a short tone but the screen remains black, which means you can very easily miss a reminder that you've set for a given time. This happens both with "Alerts and notifications" set to "Alert", and with it set to "Status bar notification"
- When adding a new event, there are many fields which I personally never use, such as Time Zone, Location, Participants and Description, which only makes the process of creating a new event more confusing and lengthy. Is there a way to unclog the screen of all those fields, and just leave the essential ones in, such as Event, Start/End Date and Reminders? Or will I just have to use a third party calendar for that instead of the built-in calendar?
- When I add an event to my Google account calendar, it sometimes appears as actually being added to a "(my name) D-25" calendar, or some other D-(number). What does that D-(number) mean?
- I find the existance of two default calendars ("My Calendar" and "Google account Calendar") confusing. When I add an event to calendar, how can I make so that it is automatically (by default) added to my Google account calendar rather than to "My Calendar", which does not get synced?
Many thanks in advance for any help!
