how to replace the Chinese binary with an English one.

1. Download superuser by clockworkmod from the play store. Open it and grant root permission (right button when the window pops up in Chinese). Superuser will ask to update the binary, hit install. Now exit by swiping superuser out of recents.

2. Now open titanium backup, install from play store if you don't have it. Find the Chinese root manager app and freeze it.

3. Next open superuser again and once again install the superuser binary when asked. Reboot. You should now be rooted in English. You may now uninstall the Chinese root manager.
 
Just an FYI, some of the devs over at XDA and also on IRC picked that Chinese app apart and found it was reporting a lot of info back to 3rd party servers. Not sure they ever pinned down whether it was nefarious in nature, but it's suspect.

This root method was based on the same exploit but with all the scary stuff removed:

[ROOT] Root your G2 [ATT|VZW|TMO|KT|RGS|BELL|TELUS|OPEN] [Yay!] - xda-developers

I'm not meaning to tell anybody what to do or not do, just passing along what I've observed in weeks of following this phone very closely on the forums and IRC.

hmmm so what are you trying to say? is it not safe even though its been stated safe?

reporting what kind of stuff?? from my computer or from root process??

but seems that app was used for a lot of device rooting as it supports multiple devices for rooting.
