Quick circle case

How well does this case protect the phone it doesnt look like it would protect the phone so well from drops? Anyone who has the case?

I have dropped the phone twice, one wher it slid across the tiled floor of a puplic toilet no damage at all just a mark on the case

Is the case the same material as the back cover of the g3? I have a feeling that if dropped onto the top or bottome then the phone would fly out of the case?

Just like the Samsung S-View cover did to my Note 3, the Quick Circle case has made a permenant border of the outline of the window on the screen of my G3.

Whoever designed these cases put no thought in how it damages the screen over time. :(

Since the ring was caused by OEM accessories,I'd hit LG up for a screen replacement.

It happened with Samsung S-View covers so i just assume now that it's part and parcel with the flip covers. Tons of threads on other forums about such markings on screens due to flip covers with windows, and it's often said it's the oleophobic coating wearing off after repeated use of the cover, or dirt getting around the window portion of it in a pocket.

In those situations the fault was placed on the user from the OEM, claiming the cover was not faulty and that it was mere user error. (aka don't put your phone into a pants pocket with the cover in place. D'oh!)

Here's an example with a Samsung cover:

I have a tempered glass screen protector on mine i find they are really good i got one for £3.00 this would stop that from happening

I hate screen protectors. takes the nice gloss away and makes the screen look foggy or matte. then there's the problem i've had where dirt or hairs or bubbles get in the thing.

When my job supplied me my first iPhone (a 3GS) that was the first thing i got rid of. hated that thing.

Have you tried a tempered glass screen protector. So much better than plastic ones, cells and looks like the normal screen, can't tell it's there. I have the Zagg one on my G3,so nice.

See my post above regarding screen protectors. They all make the screen look like an old VGA monitor since they take all the gloss away.

Here's my input on the quick circle case. I like it. It's slim and protects my screen. No need for a screen protector but if you have one already leave it on there. Sure with any phone when it's dropped any damage is possible. The phone is snapped into the case very good. I bet it would take a good hit/fall for it to go flying out the case.

I use Ghost Armor with a matte finish. No reflections, no finger print smudges whatsoever and the screen quality is not compromised enough to complain. Its the only screen protector I trust.

I have never seen any 'Ghost Armor' here. Its a smallish selection of Quick Circle, Life proof, and the usual stick on matte screen protectors that look like crap and reduce clarity to that of an old VGA monitor. And that if you're lucky not to get hair, dirt or bubbles.

I want the gloss of my screen to remain intact. I despise screen protectors ands refuse to pay $30+ for one. I don't want it matte. I notice that and I didn't pay for a qhd to get VGA matte.

The only issue with the Quick Circle case is that if you work anywhere where dirt gets into your pocket (I'm a mechanic) it then gets between the case flap and the screen and basically rubs into the screen resulting in pock marks all over. Smart phones have one year or less lifespans where I work.

At work I keep my phone in a zip lock plastic bag in my locker. I'm a welder and there is a lot of metal dust flying about. Magnets in the speaker and even around the camera will pull that from the air. Even the frequency from the welding power source can mess up a phone.

I keep my phone in my pocket normally which is why my main interaction is with a smart watch. To keep the phone safe in my pocket. Its easier to replace a $200 watch over a $700 phone. I like the idea behind the circle case plus the added functions. Unlike the S-View with its separate glass window the LG case has a opening. I was under the impression that the lack of a glass panel would avoid the issue off dust scratching the LCD due to it getting between two glass panels and rubbing into the screen. The Note 3 has hashes in the screen due to that. Unfortunately I found out my LG G3 not only has hashes where dirt got between the flip and the screen, but it also has a permenant circle mark in the screen as well. I think for a legit accessory this is unacceptable given the point of a case is protection.

Leaving my phone in the toolbox isn't an option as the watch would disconnect if I get too far from the phone and I'd then miss important texts from the boss. I'm not exactly working in one particular place. I might need a part from the shed out back, or need to go on the road to retrieve a broken down vehicle. In those instances the importance of being in contact is my main priority.

Did anyone get an exchange of phone on the principal that an official product has caused an issue with the phone?

The stock LG circle case does not protect the back, top or bottom because it replaces the old hard back with a new hard back. The best solution I have found that adds complete protection to the phones top, sides and bottom is the WOW bumper view case buy Mercury Corporation. iIt can be ordered online (Amazon) from Gooseberry in California It is a fantastic case and less than $10.00.
