quick kill for google maps?

hi,

i love gm more and more, but there is one flaw that i see. after searching for, starring and then getting directions for a location, you have to hit the back button like five or six times to get the app to shutdown. is there a quick kill i don't know about? and would i lose the map's cache at that point?

Only in navigation mode, there is an exit button. In regular maps, there is no way to exit. If your phone has a task killer/manager, use that to close the app.

If you hit the back button, it will ask if you want to end navigation. Choose yes to end it. Then you can just press the home button.

I forgot to mention, that when in the Navigation mode, just hit the menu button and press exit.
