Root Quick : Lordmod Sense Kernal

I flashed the kernal in recovery. rebooted - stuck on htc screen with quietly brilliantly text. left it about 5 minutes and felt it - really hot, quickly pulled the battery.

just wanted to know whether I should try it again - or would that risk too much damage to my phone
