Quick Pic v Samsung Gallery

In my Samsung S3 gallery there doesn't seem to be a way easily send a photo to FB, so I downloaded Quick Pic. I like the way it looks but the question is the same....how do I take a picture and shoot it over to FB?

On my old phone, when I did a long press on a pic, a pull down memo would appear asking what actions I'd like to take, one of those being "send to Facebook."

When I long press on Quick Pic I get a share prompt and a pull down menu that includes everything from foursquare to dropbox and beyond...but no FB...

Any thoughts or help?

cheers,
Steve

Just a thought because I don't use FB, but do you have the FB app? Maybe then you would have the choice to upload pics to it.

When I longpress an image in QuickPic I get a long list of possibilities like share, delete, details, rotate, edit, set as, move to, etc. etc. When I press 'share' I get a long list of possibilities like various email accounts, SMS apps, Bluetooth, various clouds, NFC, etc. etc. Including all social media accounts. So FB too. IF installed and registered!

So I echo saptech's question: do you have FB installed and registered on your phone?

Whether you use QuickPic or the Galaxy SIII gallery, you have the share option to Facebook. Or even straight from the camera app.

SIII Gallery - not sure about this since I don't have an SIII, but on my TouchWiz skinned Galaxy Tab on ICS, there is a share button (looks like a "<" ) on the upper right if you select a photo. Open that and select Facebook

Quickpic - as mentioned before you can long press a photo, or like my Tab, it has a share button on the upper right if you open a photo.

Camera app - after taking a picture, go into preview mode (tap on the thumbnail of the last picture on the lower right of the screen) and then tap menu button and select "share", then choose Facebook.

Note however that for those options to be available, you need to have the Facebook app installed.

If you don't want to install the facebook app just for uploading pictures, you could use MMS or email. Google for instructions, it's not hard to setup.
