Root Quick question about radios

I was just wondering if this liquid ICS ROM includes the MR3 radio when you install that version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879151

Or do you have to flash the MR3 radio separately?

Radios (and kernels too for that matter) have always confused me as to if they're included or not in ROMs. I'm under the impression that they are usually included in a ROM unless otherwise noted, and there is the option of leaving a phone rooted with stock software but you can flash kernels and radios separately.

Please, illuminate me on this issue! Thanks.:)

Kernels are needed for the ROM to boot, and as such are always included with a ROM.

Radios however, are not flashable in recovery, and as such are never included with a ROM. Radios are flashed separately, via the bootloader :)

Thanks Scotty. By the way, I noticed the TB radio I am using isn't included in your list of radios, but it's the best one I've used so far. You may be aware of it and chose not to include it on purpose, but in case you were not aware of it, or wanted to link to it in some other way, this one is apparently a GB/ICS hybrid (.19? Whatever that means). Just repeating what I read. here's a link!

that one is there, sir. its not a hybrid radio, its from the most recent gingerbread OTA,build number 2.11.605.19. :)

Oh! My bad. I didn't realize they were build numbers. Not too keen on tracking the build numbers, but I was going by the baseband version which my phone lists as 1.49.00.0406w_1, 0.01.79.0331w_1. I can't seem to find the page I didn't see those numbers on when I was using the search function, but it may have been some old link, no longer used/updated. I DID just fine it on a different looking post of yours just now, so, yeah. Thanks for clarifying though!
