If I flash from a 1.5 (I think) based ROM to a 2.1 will it delete everything on my SD card?

Thanks for any helpful replies.
 
in the process now going to fresh toast 2.1.2 Hope I like it. I don't do a lot of messing with rom's. I rooted to fresh 1.5 with the gumbo kernel and months ago and haven't messed with it since. SO I am hoping that I can do the same with this. Just flash it, like it and leave it a lone. I guess I'll know in a few...
