Can an esteem go into test mode without being rooted? Some days ago all metro pcs phones lost signal and etc. Ever since that my friend's esteem has not been able to get signal. He has working 4G but can't call anyone. He's already been to a store they told him to call customer service, he did that and they couldn't really don't anything. They said he had to take it to a service center or something

Check to see if device is up to date . If not he may need to reset or get new device

The device is up to date, but his information is screwed says prl 40000 and phone number unknown etc . He said once the date was really off it said 1955 or something

I was going to try that on his phone but I didn't know the the esteem 's that aren't rooted could go into test mode

Well if this friend has a unrooted zve firmware on his or her device and this has happened. The testmode fixer works on unrooted devices just turn off the uac and have the prl on hand . Someone told me at the corporate store that the manual programing will do the same you just need to do the *228 updat when done . I never tried it so can't say . But you can try that . If you have the mdn min and sid .

He said this is what the computer is going to do . But if you don't have the pc this is a manual way . I been waiting for a test mode to try .
