What you want to do is create a profile based on a given time.
Profile "Night time"
Context (or condition): Time > From = 1:00, To = 8:00
Task: "Brightness at night"
Then long tap on the task (from the profiles tab) and tap on "Add exit task", which then will be "Day brightness".
Until you start doing some complicated automation, stay away from the Ifs, and even then, stay away from the Gotos...
