Root Quick remote for Lollipop ROMs!

Just stumbled across this looking for a mod for the KitKat Quick remote.

This issue was the main thing keeping me from running an LP ROM. I might have to make a backup and test this out, although if someone else already on lollipop could try it, that'd be awesome.

I tried this about six months ago and couldn't get it to work. I think the consensus at the time was that the Volt's ir hardware was hobbled and therefore not compatible with other versions of the software.
