Quick settings help

Alright I have a droid incredible and I'm on Verizon wireless I am trying to use quick settings as a hotspot but the 3G Verizon hotspot app is overriding it and when I go to browse the Internet it brings up a Verizon page telling me to add tethering to my account how can I make it do quick settings as default hotspot
 
Do you have hotspot enabled on your account? Sounds like it's redirecting you to Verizon so you can purchase/add mobile hotspot to your account. I am pretty sure mobile hotspot is not a free service.
