Quick settings

How do you disable quick settings and get it back to where you have a home page and swipe left or right to get to the other pages?

Download a different launcher

OK? That's not answering my question. Sure I could download a different launcher but that's not what I asked. I'll be more specific! If I wanna use the default launcher is there a way to disable quick settings so I can have a middle home page and be able to swipe left or right to additional pages?

No

I'm sure there is a way. This is android. :D if you don't like something, you just have to dig into the code and change it

Curious as to why you don't like it? Since you can add other home pages to the right it seems like there enough. I find the quick settings page very convienient.

yeah you can use a different launcher but I like the clock circles widget and its not compatible with other launchers. quick settings is useless especially since you can just use power toggles and have it in notification bar.

I find it extremely useful

My quicksettings pulldown. Tapping it will toggle on/off, holding it brings up the settings for whatever you touched. It's also customizable.

How does that help the OP? Can you download something that will do this on the Razr?

I agree with you 100%. I can't stand that! I never use the "home" button. I just can't get in the habit of it. So if I have 5 pages and I'm on the 4th, I'll just keep swiping the same way to get to my home screen. I hate how it ends on both ways. When Droid-Life reviewed the Razr M I asked if that could be shut off and he replied NO. I keep checking here every day for the same answer your looking for. And I to need some of the stock widgets and don't want to use another launcher. But I think I might have to. It's more important for me to swipe through than widgets.

Please explain how to have power toggles in notification bar. I would love to do that.
Edit: i installed widgetsoid. Problem solved. Now i can use another browser and still have quick settings in pull down menu.

Now my pulldown looks like this:

Anybody know of an app to program the recent apps key to do something useful?

Download One More Clock Widget, and select their Chrome Rings theme. It doesn't display a few words of the latest text message in the leftmost ring like the stock Android widget does, but other than that it's a great knockoff.

Check what root options you have. That was one of the first modifications available for my device. I would be surprised if you didn't have that option as well
