Root Quick UOT Kitchen Question

MikeC1408

Have just finished cooking in the kitchen (transparent notification bar and new battery icons etc) :D and had 1 quick question before flashing the files I downloaded.

On the site it says about keeping a copy of the original framework-res.apk, which I have duely done on PC and dropbox.

If I want to go back to how the phone is now, pre kitchen, is it just a case of placing the original uncooked framework-res.apk on my SD card and then using something like APKInstaller from the market to restore?

Thanks

Put it in your uot kitchen zip, in place of the new one and flash

I had a question as well. The kitchen mentions versions and that its mostly for HTC models, will it work on the prevail using CTmod and Kumakernal? If so which option do I pick at that point (where its asking what mod your using)?

could you just not nandroid backup first and restore that to go back to original? ;)

If your phone/rom isn't on the list it knows then you need to upload the required files from your rom (see the upload page of the kitchen). You can copy these from the phone's system partition or unzip a copy of the ROM and find them there.

Always nandroid before flashing the theme, in case you did something wrong.

just upload the system and framework files to uot - then flash the created uot file to make the theme changes - i normally either reflash the rom to remove - or restore from nandoid
