Help Quickest/easiest method to stream media from PC to the N7..?

stream???

the easiest.. is just copy the media file over to the N7.
you can do that via usb cable.. or a wifi app to transfer files.. or a cloud service like Dropbox (look in my sig to get your free account)
 
I put the stuff I want to stream on a USB stick. Then I don't have to be near the PC to stream it.

Is that what you call streaming?
I just wanted call that.. Playing a media file.

Today.. I used ES Explorer.. On my N7 to see a shared folder on my pc. It connected via the home wifi.. I was able to play all the movies that where in that folder.
 
You are a bit vague with your question, I am assuming you mean watching a film over your wifi connection from your pc.
Firstly you need something on your PC to stream with, I have found serviio extremely easy to use, or PS3mediaserver
You then need an app on your nexus, as others have suggested ES file explorer is extremely easy to use. You also need a player to play it on, a lot use MX player which seems to play most files although I have found that it has issues with some codecs, another one I like is Archos video player, this seems to handle more files(but not AC3 for some reason) and you can also download the metadata for the film which is quite nice

You can stream shared folders from Windows you don't have to have any programs to stream
 
X3 or 4 on es file explorer. Easy to browse computer folders/files on my home network just like I'm sitting at the computer.
