Quickpic question/help

There's probably a really simple explanation to this but i can't find it and its driving me insane.

I've always used quickpic over stock gallery aside from anything else its got a better layout imo. But just over the weekend i went to do a wallpaper change..

from picture> set as home screen (or lockscreen) > normally takes you into the quickpic editor for setting a wallpaper. However now mine takes me to the stock gallery. I'm sure it didn't used to do this..

I've tried clearing defaults on both quickpic and stock, and uninstalled quick pic and reinstalled all to no avail. its not a major issue obviously but its very annoying so if anyone has any advice would be mucho appreciated.

I agree that QuickPic is better than Gallery, but I use Walpaper Wizardrii for wallpaper. Try it nd I think you'll agree that it's a better wallpaper app than QuickPic. (Save your current wallpaper first, then play with the cropping and set what you end up with as your wallpaper. Some pictures look better cropped, some look better uncropped and some that look better cropped look better if you change the cropping from the default.)
