Quirk with "People" App

For some reason I cannot delete some people in my "People" (contacts) app. Very strange. The "delete" option just doesn't appear for them.
 
Are you sure those people aren't contacts that have imported from Facebook? In which case, you'd have to delete them from Facebook.
