Does anyone think that the R2D2 Droid2 is deserving of its own forum? It is after all running on a different version than the D2 and D2G
 
If the R2D2 gets its own, then the D2G probably should too. Since we are such a small group of users to start, my vote is to leave it alone.
 
Im not even sure how many even own it....The only real difference is the paint job and some apps.... I cant speak for global, but the R2-D2 could maybe use a subsection of the D2 but not its own forum....
 
Was just mentioning it. There are more differences then paint and apps. Like I said, the R2D2 is running on a different version of Froyo then the other D2s. So forinstance, all of the talk about the last OTA that was transmitted didn't even apply to the R2D2 because it is 2-3 versions ahead of the D2. Just sayin..
 
I see... I didnt own my regular D2 long enough to really notice the version difference...The R2 does seem faster and doesnt get laggy ad quick as the regular D2 also...
 
I've only known the R2D2 version. I can't imagine that it would be that different from the normal D2. The boot animation is getting kind of annoying, I am tempted to root it just to rid myself of that.
 
Picked that idear up from another forum, worked pretty well there. I'd probably go back but I made the mistake of setting it to mobile and can't get it back to normal nor can I send an e-mail to the admin to help me out. :(
