Root Radio and/or signal booster?

So I'm gonna be moving to a place that outside I only get one bar of signal and I only get 1x there as well. Inside I not only get 0 bars but I get a white x icon saying No Service. The house has s tin/metal roof and I'm sure that's why. Is there any kind of signal booster I can buy? Link maybe? Or is there a specific radio I can install that gives better signal penatration?
 
You can look on Amazon but be aware that signal boosters are around $200. If you can't get a signal near the windows then I doubt it would help. I've never noticed that switching the software radio has any effect on signal penetration. :p

I can't get the b52s song "love shack" out of my head after reading "tin roof". I hope I'm not the only one old enough to know that song.
