Root RadioactiveFroyo kills my battery

About a week ago, I flashed to Radioactive Froyo 1.8.7, and it seems that now my battery, which always used to get me through the day and night with room to spare, now goes dead by about 9:00. Anyone else see battery life diminish vs. stock rom?

FYI, this is based upon light usage -- mostly phone calls, hourly K9 email checks, etc. 95%+ of the battery usage is Android System.

i've never had issues with any of the radioactive versions. did you start from complete scratch before you flashed it?

Maybe the battery needs to be recalibrated. Was the phone fully charged when you flashed? Try letting the battery completely die then recharge overnight via usb cable if possible.

Actually i've also experienced this with radio-froyo and it totally kills my battery. I've had ho have it replaced 4 times by now i know its radio-froyo doing the damage. When i say damage i mean it too because i attempted to restock it and the battery was just fried. it didnt want to hold charge or last me past 4 o'clock (and thats me being ultra frugal with the phone)

Mind you i'm a light user when i dont have a readily available charging spot for my phone. 20 min phone calls here and there. Super heavy texter ( i configured the phone to not use keyboard light i have the brightness on the phone off yadda yadda.) check emails once every hour on the dot.

If i disconnect the phone round 8am im looking at having absolutely no battery by 2~4o'clock. Before the installing radio-froyo i would get a great battery life outta my moment (8am to 10pm) In fact i go the extra mile in trying to not put too much "stress" on my battery... whenever I wi-fi tether my phone (using M900 tether) i connect the phone through USB to my computer ( no necessary for wi-fi tethering >.>) and once i know my phone is chargin i just take out the battery. That way i dont have it constantly charging and getting overheated.

So any ideas?
