hi everyone,my phone before rooting was a orange branded dhd,I'm now on the latest miui rom with a lordmod kernel and have moved over to 3.my problem is the download speeds are either very good or very bad, could this be a radio issue?the current radio is 26.10.04.03-m this is the stock radio, what radio should I be
l

With MIUI, it technically doesn't matter what radio you use as they don't really recommend one (as far as I'm aware). The one you have is a Telus (Canadian I think???) Radio, you can find a list of radios here.

The latest one is 26.13.04.19_M, I've been using that on CM7 with no problems at all. Your issue could well be with 3 though, I know a few folk who say their signal us very hit or miss.

I have just done a check at work and I am getting 65% signal but only 400kbps download speed, sometimes its over 5000kbps.is this the norm?

I've no idea! :p

You don't just take into account the percentage signal strength as it can give false positives. You're better looking at things like dbM and attenuation (asu). You might have a strong signal, but there could be interference which is impacting the 3G speed. I'll be honest and say signal strength and what causes bad/good signal isn't really my fort

Do you mean you have moved over to the 3 network? I'm on 3 and they the signal and 3G speeds tend to vary wildly, one minute i'm getting 5.5Mbps and the next I have lost all the signal, and then goes back up to about 300kbps  I have a decent radio on my phone and still the signal can be awful.
