Ram question

I'm conducting a little experiment regarding RAM usage...

I used to clear the RAM many times a day and asked here if it was necessary and some said it just isn't necessary to keep clearing the RAM.

So 2 days later and I haven't touched the button.

Right now my RAM is sitting @ 426MB. But I could check it in the morning, or any other random time in the day, and it has read about 230MB-260MB. It changes all the time but it proves that the phone is capable of utilising its RAM properly.

No offence, but from what I have learnt and experienced with android, you dont worry about your ram, let android manage it, It does a very good job.

Your better off with more apps in ram as your phone will run quicker as it can launch and switch between the apps in ram faster than launching them from cold. Empty ram is wasted ram.

If your phone is slowing down it is more than likely due to a poorly written app,
your better off tracking down the offending app and removing it than micro managing the ram.

(I have 394mb free right now.)
