Help RAM usage is 830MB. The phone is getting dead slow

Hello All,

I have got my new Samsung galaxy S3 with 4.1.2 some 3 weeks back. The first 2 week it worked like a charm. But now it is taking ages to respond like opening contacts or dial pad r any apps. I have checked the other threads in the forum and tried all the steps like turnoff multiwindow, disable ripple effect, reduce the minimum process in back ground. But nothing worked. My Ram usage is still showing 820MB. there is almost noo free space in ram. I am using Go launcher Interface. Can somebody suggest me some tips to reduce the RAM usage. :)

Sounds odd, high RAM usage is actually a good thing on Android, unused RAM is wasted RAM. Don't think of it like a PC.

Can't help much more than that, I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction soon enough though bud.

Youll notace that the dialer opens much faster the second time you open it, thats because its in RAM and thats the point of it. Limiting background processes will mean less of your most used apps will be in RAM waiting to be opened. As above, free ram truly is going to waste and if the phone needs more to open another app, android will kill a low priority app to make room. Try not to get in the habit of closing apps. Especialy the ones you use most

You could try wiping the cache.
With phone off, hold in Power, Home and Volume Up until you see the samsung screen, it will boot into "recovery mode".
Use volume keys to scroll to "wipe cache partition", hit Home to select it, scroll back up to Reboot Now, hit Home to select it.
You wont wipe anythin important
