Ram usage

Even when not running any apps in the background my gs6 uses about 80% of its ram. When compared to the speed of my old GS3, I see very little difference in speed. Any fixes for this?

My advice is to leave your RAM alone. Android does a fantastic job at managing ram, and if it's using 80% of it, that's fine.
Unused ram is wasted ram.

Samsung has some mistakes in the S6 multitasking that are well known and more likely the cause for concern.

They've just started rolling out a major update on Verizon, others are sure to follow in the US.

I'd expect any fixes that matter to be in there.

The S6 throttles quite heavily. Gaming performance is definitely suffering, that's also a matter of record.

Hopefully the update will address that as well.

Meanwhile, leave your ram alone, it has enough trouble without adding to it.

I find it a bit of an issue that the old GS3 is running on par with the GS6. Sure the GS6 looks better but really no difference in performance over the GS3.
