so let us continue on the ram talking on this thread so mods wont get mad lol so why is tht we only have less than 512 mb of ram to use on our esteems?

The phone comes with 512, but android operating system locks some it for system use only. What you see on the phone is how much the user can use.

i know about the memory i dnt mind how much internal memory i have lol but i dnt get how gingerbread take like about 3/5 of the ram leaving me with like at least 220mb of ram=/

You actually have 370 free to the user thats not being used by the system/phone.
