Help Random Hang Ups?

On my daughter's Backflip she continues to complain that the phone will hang up in the middle of the call. I understand there is a proximity sense in the phone, but it does not seem to be doing too great of a job.

Has anyone else struggled with this; and better yet, does any one have a resolution.

My other half has a Flipout and does not have this problem.

I meant Flipout.

I'm wondering if it is a faulty proximity sensor or the way she uses the phone.

In theory if the proximity sensor is faulty then the screen might come back on during the call and her face could trigger the end of the call...

You would however see the screen coming on before the hangup... Of course if you're in the US then the Flipout is AT&T and I know they have huge issues with lost calls.

Again, my other half has never seen this.

I have the exact same problem! I have a Chinese FlipOut and I know it's not the service carrier. It seems that the screen does come one while I am talking and the touch screen ends the call. It's so annoying!! If anyone figures out the problem, please let me know how to fix it!!!

you can push the phone really hard on your ear

If I barely move the phone away from my face it hangs up. It's annoying!
