Random home screen problem.

Hey guys, every time I go to the home screen something pops up saying " Sorry! The application Home (process android.process.lghome) has stopped unexpectdly. Please try again." Now I cant stay on the home page and it automatically sends me to any application that is open and if nothing is open it would send me back to the home page and repeat it. I have taken out the battery and reset it but nothing has helped. What should I do?

P.S. If it helps I have the stereoscopic.

Hello and welcome, frankie.

Did you notice a notification of an impending update to your device prior to the error appearing? By "reset" do you mean you performed a factory data reset?

Also, are you using the stock launcher? Or did you download and install Nova or GoEx etc?

I'm thinking there is an update waiting to install. Check in the about phone area of your settings menu for updates. It may be sitting there half-way installed or downloaded.

Before you make any changes, try (carefully ;)) removing the sd card and sim card (after powering down/off). Leave them both out for a minute or so along with the battery out, then put them all back in and boot up. Sometimes that will sort of jolt the system back to normal.

I'm not sure if I am using stock launcher and I don't remember downloading Nova or GoEx. I did what you said to do but it is still the same. I can't access the settings menu because it just keeps repeating when I try to click something.

Did you actually try a factory reset, all I see in your original post is, "I reset it" so....

If you did not factory reset the device yet I would suggest to do so. If the device has been reset and still nothing, you might want to call the manufacturer and ask them what to do, which will probably involve you mailing your phone back to them.

How else can I do that if since can't get to settings?

If your phone is currently connected to the internet, the easiest fix for this is to simply push a new launcher from the Play Store to your phone. When you press home, it will ask you whether you want to open the old launcher, or the new one you just installed. Simply choose the new one and your phone will work normally but on a different launcher. From there you can access the settings and clear the data and cache from your old launcher.
