Edit: Thread Closed - I returned the device for a refund.
I just bought my desire 2nd hand off ebay. It had HTC's official gingerbread 2.3.3. It rebooted 3 times in 40mins and now it is constantly rebooting as soon as it has finished booting up. I know there is known hardware fault with some desire's that require a replacement motherboard.
Prior to the device having official gingerbread, the original owner had rooted and installed an Oxygen CFW. I'm not sure what steps he took before installing the OFW gingerbread RUU or whether that matters? But I was wondering if the fact it was previously on a CFW could be causing this at all?
I've gone into Hboot and cleared storage but it has made no difference.
