So I rooted my phone about 3 days ago, but this only started happening yesterday. I'm on the phone every night, and it's normally left on speaker. Yesterday though for some reason it started getting a very loud static sound like when you tune into a tv channel that you don't have on cable. Short bursts of the sound will be played randomly while i am on the phone *only when on speaker* . And I can cause the sound by pressing any button after my screen has turned off. I figured it might be the app I downloaded earlier yesterday, some random game. Deleted it, problem still exists. The only other thing I can remember doing to my phone yesterday was downloading the Gingerbread Keyboard from the market. I doubt that's the problem but I guess I should uninstall it just to see.
Any ideas what else might be causing this? From my searches, it doesn't seem to be a very common problem.
